PointTrade Services, Inc. consists of two divisions - PointTrade Services Consulting and PTSI Managed Services. The consulting group advises companies in such areas as import operations, import compliance and risk management, all aspects of the Foreign-Trade Zones program, Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program, North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) program and other trade related programs, global supply chain matters, software and systems management, and project development. Many of PTSI's clients are top 50 U.S. importers and PTSI works with some of the most advanced marketing and implementation strategies in the industry today. PTSI Managed Services provides FTZ Administrator services for the day-to-day operations of an FTZ through its centralized FTZ operation concept. PTSI Managed Services currently provides FTZ administrator services for 23 million square feet of activated FTZ manufacturing, warehousing and distribution operations in seven states with over $15.6 billion in total FTZ transactions. Our innovative approach offers a unique opportunity to streamline inventory control operations and import processes for zone users and reduce paperwork for U.S. Customs & Border Protection.
MISSION STATEMENT
PointTrade Services, Inc. was established to share knowledge and experience with companies conducting international trade. Our mission is to assist companies through integrity and innovation to achieve cost efficiencies, global supply chain efficiencies, savings, systems automation, and increased compliance with U.S. Customs and Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) Program laws and regulations as well as other trade rules and regulations.
HISTORY
PointTrade Services, Inc. was established as Point of Trade, Inc. in 2004 to share knowledge and experience with companies conducting international trade.
PTSI's executive management gained valuable work experience in the public port authority/Foreign-Trade Zone industry and has been together as a team for over 23 years.
PTSI's executive management team gained further experience while working for one of the Big Four accounting firms for over 6 years. During this time, the focus was to build the FTZ practice and work with the state incentives tax practice to provide compliance related projects. The executive management team departed the Big Four firm to establish a more nimble and client-focused business with the vision of growing a Panama City, Florida based team to provide client services with integrity, honesty and innovation.
Since its incorporation in March of 2004, PTSI has experienced substantial growth in number of employees and clients served. PTSI currently maintains two locations - a client site office in the Midwest and our corporate headquarters in Panama City, Florida.
EXPERIENCE
The combined experience of PTSI's team totals more than 100 years in FTZ work and international trade, with 28 years combined experience in public FTZ grantee and operator positions, 20 years in executive management of the industry and over 60 years of experience in day-to-day manufacturing zone operations. Our team is unsurpassed in the industry in terms of its diversity and experience. The executive management team has been together over 23 years.
For more than a decade, Mr. Tommy L. Berry, President, CEO, and Founder of PTSI, served on the Board of Directors of the NAFTZ, including a two-year term as the Association's President. His work in the NAFTZ involved extensive consultations with foreign-trade zones throughout the nation, as well as representation of the industry during one of the most substantial revisions to the FTZ regulations in 50 years. The NAFTZ recognized his contribution by awarding him an Honorary Life Membership in October 1995.
