Debora Caporale is PointTrade Services, Inc.’s Sr. Vice President of Operations and co-founder. Ms. Caporale has over 27 years of experience related to a broad range of international trade, foreign-trade zone, and customs projects.
Relevant Experience
Ms. Caporale is adept in project management and has been instrumental in oversight of the planning, preparation, delivery, and internal documentation processes of major international trade and FTZ projects. Ms. Caporale’s experience extends to a variety of industries including steel, silicones, electronics and components, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, eye care, footwear, large retail distribution, jewelry and watches, agricultural equipment, and consumer products, as well as general warehousing and distribution, airports, and seaports.
During her career, Ms. Caporale has participated in numerous international trade projects requiring foreign-trade zone and import compliance and risk management experience. Ms. Caporale is experienced in providing various trade-related services, with an emphasis on services related to foreign-trade zones, compliance and risk management, duty savings, and C-TPAT.
Ms. Caporale’s foreign-trade zone experience encompasses dealing with the many facets of research, preparation and submission of foreign-trade zone applications, requests for manufacturing authority, activations, boundary modifications and expansions, alternative site framework applications, as well as zone management and administration. She is also experienced in developing and reviewing procedure manuals, annual reports, zone schedules and operator agreements. Through the years, she has built relationships in various industry and government sectors and accumulated knowledge of the grantee/operator, governmental, and industry aspects of foreign-trade zones.
Ms. Caporale’s hands-on foreign-trade zone administration and management experience includes 13 years as assistant to the FTZ Manager and Assistant Port Director operating a U.S. port authority and general-purpose foreign-trade zone.
Additionally, in her capacity as an international trade consultant, she continues to add to her experience through oversight of the administration of PTSI’s FTZ projects in seven states. Ms. Caporale also gained valuable consulting experience working as a trade consultant at a major law and consulting firm and the national trade and customs practice of one of the Big 4 accounting firms. Ms. Caporale serves as PointTrade Services, Inc.’s Vice President and Secretary.
